Meet Jennifer Trimble, M.Ed., CCC-SLP
Jennifer is a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Moses Lake, WA. She grew up in Michigan and the Marshal Islands. In 1988, she graduated from East Carolina University with a Bachelor’s in Music Therapy and Music Education. She worked as a music therapist, then in administration and medical billing. In 2007, she received her Master’s degree in Communications and became a Speech-Language Pathologist.
She has been working as an SLP primarily in long-term care and outpatient settings. She has treated patients with dysphagia in determining the safest diet texture as well as helping patients improve their swallow function. Patients under her care have improved from getting nutrition from a feeding tube or altered diet texture to eating regular texture and thin liquids. She is certified in VitalStim (neuromuscular re-education), Beckman Oral Motor Protocol and MDTP (McNeil Dysphagia Therapy Protocol).
She has also worked with patient’s with cognitive communication, speech and/or language deficits. She has worked closely with kitchen managers and dietitians to provide the safest diet textures/liquid consistencies for residents and patients. She is excited to provide this information to help those with special diet textures/liquid consistency needs to be safe while enjoying their meals.
